This past Monday, February 8th, the H.A.Y. Foundation held a board meeting, and from now on, we would like to update our followers on a few key points addressed during meetings....
We are very happy to announce that TWENTY-ONE children graduated since our last meeting just a few months prior (while having a four week holiday break in that time period)! Nineteen students were approved via email since the last meeting and four were approved at the meeting!
H.A.Y. is definitely off to a busy start this year!
We would like to extend our condolences to our board member, Courtney Martin, who could not make it to the meeting, and ask that everyone keep her and her family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Karly and Mia, two of our most recent graduates, receiving their certificates & buckles.
Finally, we would like to leave you with this message received yesterday from the mother of a student:
"She normally doesn't do this.... she really struggles with life.... but when she comes back from the ranch, she sings in the shower with her portable radio, listening to upbeat, inspiring music. Every time she comes back from being there, she's happy. That place really heals the soul -- it's magical! To see that kind of 'transformation' in just one day, I wish she could go there Monday-Friday. It's very humbling as a mother!"
On Tuesday, January 26th, Softask Charity Board Member, Colby Johnson, dropped by Laurel Arena during H.A.Y. Foundation lessons to present a $4,000 sponsorship check. This money will go to sponsor many children in 2016. Colby's son, Rowan, graduated from the H.A.Y. Foundation in early December and showed great improvement through his 8 weeks.
Softask was founded in 1986 to provide financial assistance that would help improve the lives of children with special needs. For the first 3 years, the organization helped children enrolled in the Cooperative Training Center in Garland, Texas, but in 1989, Softask was incorporated to allow their fundraising efforts to be dispersed to other children's organizations. Each October, Softask hosts a golf tournament to raise money for children's organizations. In 2014 alone, they raised $52,000 at the tournament.
The H.A.Y. Foundation and all of its staff are thrilled to have received this donation to help the children at H.A.Y. We thank Softask and Colby Johnson very much for their extreme generosity to us and other children's organizations. They are truly making dreams come true!
