H.A.Y. Foundation
March 2020
With sincere appreciation from the HAY Foundation….
After more than 775 student referrals to the HAY Foundation and more than 7,000 horsemanship riding lessons, we have retired our horses and ended the Horsemanship Lesson Program. Huck was the fabulous horse who started the HAY Foundation. His 25th birthday will be on May 2nd and he’s earned his retirement! We want to thank everyone for supporting the HAY Foundation and allowing us to make a difference in the lives of local children.
The HAY Foundation has begun to implement classroom lessons for 1st through 6th graders in the public schools. These lessons incorporate the HAY Foundation’s core values and address social/emotional issues such as honesty, conflict resolution, anger management, friendship, things I can control etc. We hope to be back in the classrooms when schools reopen.
When we began the HAY Foundation in 2011, we had no idea the program would touch so many lives. Thank you to each person who helped make this possible.
Deepest gratitude,
Amy Koenigsfeld
HAY Foundation President
